Rose Stud Earrings - Upcycled Coins UK England Tudor Rose - Silver (.925) back p
I make these earrings from vintage Two Shilling coins from the United Kingdom. These coins were minted 1954-1970 and are copper-nickel. I solder a sterling silver (.925) plate to the entire backside of the coin so that all skin contact is with silver. The stud and push back are Sterling Silver (.925).
(Penny in photo for size reference).
The original coin features thistles (Scotland), shamrock (Ireland), and leeks (Wales). The middle of the coin features a Tudor rose to symbolize England.
