Japanese coin ring - 50 Yen Chrysanthemums
These rings are made to order with a quick turn around time.
I make this ring out of two coins: 50 Yen coin from Japan. It features chrysanthemum flowers around a center hole. These coins were minted from 42-63 (1967-1988) and are copper-nickel. I curved the coin and applied a patina to make the details pop.Lettering:

50 yenI make the band out of a silver (.900) US dime from before 1964.
The main coin is about the same size as a US nickel (21mm). The silver dime band width is about 3mm.

NOTES ABOUT METAL COMPOSITION:
Most of the skin contact is with the silver (.900) dime band. The main coin contains copper and is unsealed.
