Tanzania Coin Pendant - Decagon - Bull, corn, cereals, bananas - East Africa Wor
I make these out of a 5 Shilingi coin from Tanzania (this version was in circulation 1990-1993). This unique decagonal (10-sided) coin features a bull, corn, cereals, and bananas on the one side. The other side shows the country name, the president, flowers and the year 1993.
I drill a hole on the coin and file away the sharp edges. I create a patina to make the images pop and polish with Renaissance Wax to protect the surface metal.
Height of the pendant is 27.5mm (that is about 3mm bigger than a US quarter).
The metal composition of the coin is nickel plated steel.
As a pendant it comes on a stainless steel, double jump ring with a free stainless steel ballchain (Size #3).
As a keychain it comes on a larger double jump ring.
