French Coin Pendant Handcut - Liberty holding a torch - France vintage upcycled
Hand-cut using a bow drill and a jeweler's saw, I cut away the negative space to make the image pop! (See photos of the tools I use)
Item in photo is exact item for sale.
I made this out of a 100 Francs coin from France 1955. Features a beautiful depiction of Lady Liberty holding a torch. The year is still visible on the backside of this piece.
The metal composition of that coin is copper-nickel. I hand-forge the bail out of a silver (.900) US dime (from 1964 and before) and silver-solder that onto the piece making a durable hold.
This coin was minted 1954-1959.
Comes with a free stainless steel ball chain (size #3).
