Australian Coin Pendant Handcut - Male Superb Lyrebird - Birds - Coin Jewelry Ne
Hand-cut using a bow drill and a jeweler's saw, I cut away the negative space to make the image pop!
I made these out of a 10 Cents coin from Australia. It features the Superb Lyrebird, an Australian songbird. It is one of the world's largest songbirds, and is renowned for its elaborate tail and courtship displays, and its excellent mimicry.
The metal composition of that coin is Copper-Nickel.
We have applied 3 coats of jewelry grade clear coating (ProtectaClear).
Because I am featuring the tails side of the coin, the heads side is not meant to be featured although some of its details have been preserved including the year of the coin.
Height of the pendant (including the jump ring) is 27mm, the width is 23.5mm. The thickness of the coin is 1.5mm.
As a pendant it comes on a stainless steel, double jump ring with a free stainless steel ballchain (Size #3).
As a keychain it comes on a larger double jump ring.
